Dear Customers,
I hope that this finds you safe and in good health, in this COVID-19 pandemic.
And now we have a new problem – the Cyclone Yaas.
Customers who have been with Jetspot since years, must have seen last year fani after effects, where we took weeks and months to recover and restore all of our customers.
So for this upcoming cyclone precautionary measures, we have decided to take down all of our nodes latest by today afternoon.
If you are looking to follow Jetspot realtime updates, follow us on Twitter – https://twitter.com/jetspot_status
NOTE – We have taken down the nodes so there will be no internet connection until further notice.
Status Updates of JetSpot :
JETSPOT WIRELESS
All of our Jetspot wireless nodes will be taken down and will be offline until further notice. Mostly we will assess the situation on 21st may and then we will start installing them back. The process is long, but off course not long enough. We dont want to wait for the cyclone to hit and break the towers and then wait for months for restoration. So, few days of downtime is better than few months of downtime.
JETSPOT FIBER
All of the JetSpot fiber nodes will be live and if the cyclone hits bad, then they may go offline too. But they are not being taken down manually as of now. But we are still tracking IMD updates about the cyclone and will assess the situation later tomorrow, if we will take them down or keep them running. Of course, if the cyclone gets hit and fiber gets cut, then it will days involved for restoration process.
CONCLUSION
Its a natural calamity, and everyone has to suffer at the same time. The only thing we all can do right now is, STAY CALM & PRAY.
I am grateful to the entire Jetspot family – our team for the tireless work and our users like yourself for your continued support and trust in Jetspot.
Lets pray and stay safe.
And we will keep you updated on our twitter page.
